Nearly 100 leading companies are having their sustainability programmes rated in this year's Tomorrow's Value Rating (TVR).
Run by international corporate sustainability agency Two Tomorrows, the TVR is an annual assessment of corporate sustainability practices.
The TVR aims to further the debate on sustainable business, identify and reward best practices, and spur healthy competition among companies, motivating them to create tomorrow’s value.
The rating focuses on the systems and practices that underlie corporate sustainability performance. In doing so, it is assessing companies' ability to deliver on their potential to be sustainable in terms of environmental and socio-economic risks and opportunities.
The results are due to be announced on 19th October, 2011.
The TVR is based on the fundamental belief that strong sustainability practices, systems and tools generate long-term value for the company and its investors as well as for society as a whole.
The pool of companies rated is limited to those that are recognised as strong performers in sustainability. Specifically, they have to be included in at least two global sustainability indices.
